Loka is an independent studio based in southern California, managed by Paul Gernetzke. Paul is a graphic and web designer who grew up in the icy midwest. An independent designer since 2010, Paul has lived in, worked in and been influenced by San Clemente, Austin, Brooklyn and London. He also founded and operates Global Art & Design Project, grows a pretty good beard and enjoys a bit of light banter.

The name "Loka" comes from a Sanskrit word translating directly to "world", and a concept loosely meaning "happiness in work". The best inspiration is taken from experience while being out in the world, and the happiest people are the most productive.
